Trick or Treating w/ Joey and Abby

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

We took our 2 year old and (near)5 month old trick or treating tonight. They got dressed up as the cutest little duckies you ever saw.

Joey had a great time ‘a-treat’ing and was very polite to the folks handing out candy. After each house we’d hear, “no’r canny?” (another candy?) Despite being a little warm, he had a great time.

Oh, and here are the jack-0-lanterns Joey and I carved…

Lik-Sang.com closes due to multiple Sony lawsuits

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

This was the last straw. [Notice on Lik-Sang's site]

Sony seems to be doing everything they can to anger the consumer community. Rootkits, battery recalls, insane pricing, and now this. What are they thinking? I’ve used Lik-Sang only once, but was taken care of and would buy again… well, would have.

I love this part of the article on Lik-Sang’s site (emphasis mine):

Furthermore, Sony have failed to disclose to the London High Court that not only the world wide gaming community in more than 100 countries relied on Lik-Sang for their gaming needs, but also Sony Europe’s very own top directors repeatedly got their Sony PSP hard or software imports in nicely packed Lik-Sang parcels with free Lik-Sang Mugs or Lik-Sang Badge Holders, starting just two days after Japan’s official release, as early as 14th of December 2004 (more than nine months earlier than the legal action). The list of PSP related Sony Europe orders reads like the who’s who of the videogames industry, and includes Ray Maguire (Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Alan Duncan (UK Marketing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Chris Sorrell (Creative Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Rob Parkin (Development Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited), just to name a few.

Ridiculous.

As for me and my house, we will boycott the Sony.

potty call

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

My two year-old son just called me at work from my wife’s cell phone:

“Pah-ee, Da’y! Pah-ee!”

I nearly blurted out, “You made peepee in the potty?!” but caught myself before making such a corp/social blunder. :)

I’m SO PROUD of him!

DSicons.com

Friday, October 13th, 2006

I’ve been loving this site lately: DSicons.com. With some great names behind it Firewheel Design and etherbrian you can expect great quality.

It’s basically a collection of icons you can easily (well, most of them) reproduce as your car’s decal in Mario Kart DS. Right now, I’m sporting the Millenium Falcon on my hood. ;)
