As a gathering ministry team member I got to do many media projects. Most of them were the tossaways that were created each week and a lot of them were song slide decks. Every once in a while, a need for a slide deck would come up that wasn’t a song. I guess, with their rarity, I enjoyed them a bit more.
This one was one of my favorites.
From what I remember, we were going to be doing a lengthier version of the communion ritual one sunday night and the team wanted some art to be displayed on-screen that would urge people to pay a little more attention to what was being said, sung, and proposed.
I was aiming for an older style of lo-fi line art w/ low-impact text intrusions and I think I pulled it off. I was really satisfied with this one. I don’t know if the slide deck itself led anyone to a deeper encounter or anything, but I like to think that it played its role.
